Math Meltdown
Patrick Welsh: Summertime means school for an increasing number of high school students who have struggled in their math courses. But the system could be contributing to the kids’ poor performances.
Sam Cooke once cooed: "It's summertime, and the living is easy."
Tell that to the increasing number of middle and high school students who will be sweating out summer school this year because of their meltdown in math. Related: Math Forum.
