Travel Club Returns To Pick Up New Generation
Kyle Norris: An idea from the 1930's is being used to inspire 21st century girls to stay in school. The original idea of a children's travel club belonged to Merze Tate, a woman from rural Michigan, who was the first African-American to graduate from Oxford University. Today, another Michigan woman has revived that travel club concept to widen the world of sixth-grade girls.
