September 16, 2012In Madison, poorer schools get less-experienced teachers; A Comparison of Randall & Sandburgs MAP ResultsRandall Elementary School has one of the lowest poverty rates and some of the highest test scores in Madison. It also has the most experienced teaching staff in the district.I quickly compiled the following charts (PDF version) from the 2011-2012 Madison School District's MAP (Measurement of Academic Progress) math and reading results for Randall and Sandburg Elementary along with the District-wide results. I added Randall, Sandburg's and the Madison school district's 3rd Friday, 2011 enrollment to the charts via the green rectangles. For example, the report states that 30 Sandburg 3rd grader's took the MAP assessment while the District's enrollment counts report 44 students in that class.
