October 2, 2012Madison School District's Teacher Union Bargaining UpdateMatthews said a few proposals gave him "heartburn," such as one that would allow the district to dismiss someone who had been on medical leave for two years. A proposal converting workloads from four class periods and one study hall to 25 hours per week could also give the district latitude to shorten class periods and increase each teacher's number of classes, he said.Madison Teachers', Inc. How about making it easier to fire incompetent teachers? You know, all your kids have had one or two of them. The principals know who they are, yet no one is willing to drop the hammer. These incompetents give MTI a bad name, and in our case, you have to just dismiss an entire year of high school level science. Shame Shame Shame!
