February 5, 2013Madison School Board members want a superintendent with vision, passion and a thick hideThe Madison Metropolitan School District had scarcely released the names of the two finalist candidates -- Jennifer Cheatham, a top administrator in the Chicago Public School System and Walter Milton Jr., superintendent of the schools in Springfield, Ill. -- before the online background checks began and comments questioning the competency of the candidates were posted.
