Over the last couple of months, Grejner-Brzezinska said her office has strategized with faculty about how to work more with the Department of Defense.
UW-Madison should also expand and diversify its research, she said. Bigger awards, combined with state and industry dollars, can be an “enormous economic benefit for the state and the region,” she said.
